The Division oversees New Jersey's adult system of community-based behavioral health services. These agencies provide a full array of services, including substance abuse prevention and early intervention, emergency screening, outpatient and intensive outpatient mental health and addictions services, partial care and partial hospitalization, case management, medication assisted treatment for substance abuse, and long and short term mental health and substance abuse residential services, in addition to other evidence-based practices such as the Program for Assertive Community Treatment PACTsupported employment and education, and supportive housing. The Department of Children and Families Children's System of Cares serves children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral health care challenges and their families; and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families.
This agency runs a licensed residential live-in treatment program. It is for people who have patterns of problems with the use of alcohol or other drugs. People in residential programs receive treatment while they temporarily live in housing that is owned and staffed by the agency.
Center City, Minnesota January 22, —Looking to expand collaborations with state governments on solutions to the nation's addiction crisis, the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation has tapped the former commissioner of Minnesota's Department of Human Services as its new executive director of government relations and contracting. Emily Piper begins the job February 4. Piper, an attorney, will be responsible for developing Hazelden Betty Ford's long-term government affairs strategy, focused on state regulatory and public policy opportunities as well as the expansion of core business segments via government contracts and public-private partnerships. Piper's experience working with mainstream healthcare providers and both public and private payors will also enable her to support Hazelden Betty Ford's exploration of new business and revenue models.

We are also able to work with your family so that some of the problems that might be worrying you can be worked through with a counsellor.

Date: Youth Assertive Community Treatment Youth ACT is an intensive, comprehensive, non-residential rehabilitative mental health service team model. The team promptly and appropriately responds to emergent needs and makes necessary staffing adjustments to assure the health and safety of recipients.
Jump to navigation Skip to main content. Nearly all tobacco use begins during youth and young adulthood. Tobacco contains nicotine, a highly addictive drug that causes many young people to progress from smoking occasionally to smoking every day.
SMART Recovery is a self-help program that offers a place where teens can get together to try to look into and change behaviors that hurts themselves and others like smoking, drinking, fighting and using drugs, to name a few. Urges happen! People can learn to control their response to their urges or even forget about them completely.
Families that participate in Smart Steps are responsible for a portion of their child care costs or co-pay based on a sliding income scale. As part of the program, children will be enrolled in quality, affordable, child care facilities and the Imagination Library. Space is limited in the program and will be awarded to eligible families on a first-come, first-served basis.
