A class action law suit filed by strippers against several Detroit area strip clubs alleges that the club owners violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and state minimum wage laws. The suit contends that club owners were able to evade legal obligations under state employment laws by classifying dancers as independent contractors rather than as employees.
